Pella- How to install vinyl replacement window Pella 150

What's up guys/gals, in this video I am replacing old wood windows with new vinyl replacement windows. I am specifically using Pella series 150 replacement windows for this project.
Honestly, replacing old wood windows with new vinyl replacement windows is very simple as long as you follow some simple steps. The most important part about this project is to ensure the replacement window is level and proper flashing and insulation is in place to protect from water intrusion.
First, measure the opening for the replacement window. I show you how to measure for your replacement window in this video. Next, remove the old window and clean the opening. Always dry fit the replacement window before applying flashing and silicon. You will find most of the time you will need to remove the casing trim from one or two sides of the window frame in order to make room for shims...etc.
Once you are happy with the dry fit, proceed with applying flashing tape and silicone caulking. Place the replacement window in the opening, pre-drill before screwing in the window and finish with foam insulation to fill any gaps between the vinyl replacement window and the framing.
The Pella series 150 replacement window is a good choice to upgrade from wood windows to vinyl replacement windows at an affordable price.
