The first stop on our 9-day cruise in the Caribbean is Taino Bay at Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. The Norwegian Sky is at port for the day, and we want to show you how we spent our time here exploring Puerto Plata and hanging out in Taino Bay floating along the lazy river!

Known as "The Bride of the Atlantic", Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic has so much to offer with its rich culture, history, festive and vibrant town it should be on the top of everyone's must-see list when visiting the Caribbean!

Taino Bay is a cruise port located in Puerto Plata, on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Opened in 2021, it serves as a major destination for cruise ships in the Caribbean. The port is designed to provide visitors with a rich cultural and historical experience, reflecting the indigenous Taíno heritage, which is where it gets its name.
