South Africa is often called one of the most dangerous countries in the world.
But is it really that dangerous — or is it just a global myth?

In this video, I start my long journey from Cape Town to Johannesburg, and this is Part 1, where I travel from Cape Town to Colesberg, stopping in between different towns along the way.

Instead of luxury travel, I choose local transport, hitchhiking, and public systems — the same way ordinary people travel every day. I want to understand the real ground reality and show you what it actually feels like to travel like this in South Africa.

I’ve traveled to many countries around the world, but the kind of fear and uncertainty people talk about here is very different. Through this journey, I try to find out:
• Is South Africa truly dangerous for travelers?
• How safe is local transport?
• Can a foreign YouTuber move freely and film?
• Or is fear exaggerated by news and social media?

This video is not to judge any place or people.
It’s only to observe, experience, and show the truth as it is.

If you like raw travel, real people, and unfiltered reality, this journey is for you.

🎥 Full journey coming in parts — stay tuned.
