India First: Did Pakistan Play A Double Game By Inserting Lebanon Into The Iran-US Ceasefire Draft?

In this episode of India First, host Gaurav Sawant leads a high-stakes debate on the fragility of the brokered ceasefire between Iran and the United States. The discussion scrutinises Pakistan's role as a mediator, questioning if Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif deliberately created a 'Chinese whispers' scenario by adding Lebanon to the peace draft. Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, Sushant Sareen, argues that Pakistan may have sent different versions to different parties to force a sit-down, while Iranian analyst Roxana Chighini suggests Tehran is a master at creating such tactical misunderstandings. Foreign policy analyst Professor Sierra Claire notes White House insistence that Lebanon was never part of the deal. The panel also analyses the massive US military buildup in the region despite the pause in hostilities. Experts debate whether the 'Mrs. 5' operation achieved its objectives or if Iran has emerged as a regional hegemon now dictating terms to a desperate Washington establishment ahead of crucial diplomatic deadlines.
