I BECAME GONDOLIER FOR A DAY IN VENICE! Hidden Gems of Dorsoduro & San Giorgio Maggiore [Ep.80]

After exploring Palazzo Ducale, Sayu Rinpoche continues the Venice adventure on the island right across the Grand Canal from Piazza San Marco - Isola San Giorgio Maggiore (Island San Giorgio Maggiore), the site of Chiesa di San Giorgio Maggiore, a church designed by Andrea Palladio. Then Sayu ventures into Dorsoduro - one of the best Venetian neighbourhood to get lost in and visits Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute - a church dedicated to a terrible plague related to Black Death in the 17th century. Interestingly this Venice adventure was supposed to take place right before another pandemic, but thanks to a local women's rowing club, Sayu Rinpoche finally gets to achieved his dream of...uh....being a Gondolier in Venice!?
