Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai: A Brief History (1942) The Apostle of Faith

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai was a renowned Nigerian evangelist, teacher, and healing minister, born on December 13, 1942, in Akwa Ibom State. Known as the "Apostle of Faith," he dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel with miracles, signs, and wonders following his ministry.

After his conversion, Ukpai became a powerful voice in evangelism, holding massive crusades across Africa and beyond. He founded the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA) and established Bible schools to train ministers. His radio and TV programs, including "The Hour of Freedom," reached millions, spreading messages of faith, deliverance, and divine healing.

A close associate of Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Ukpai was instrumental in Nigeria’s Pentecostal movement. He authored several books and mentored many church leaders. His legacy endures through his teachings, crusades, and the countless lives transformed by his ministry.
