He built a facade for his house, put in some insulation, and found an old wood-burning stove he uses for heat. Shortly before this video was filmed, Joe received a notice to vacate, demanding that he leave the property on which he lives.

A notice to vacate is the first step of the eviction process. Joe is awaiting a notice to appear in court and hopes to stay in the truck he has turned into a home.

The town where he lives plans to build a public hiking trail in the area where Joe lives, so it is almost certain he will have to move. Hopefully, he can stay through the winter so he is not forced to live outside in the cold.

Joe has received a court date for mid-November. At this point, it is uncertain how much time he will have. I will update you with new information as I have it.
