On November 3, 2024, an officer with Florida Fish and Wildlife was conducting a resource patrol when he stopped a vehicle being driven by a male named Alber.

In the end, Alber was charged with hunting without required orange clothing, possession of a deer during a closed season, and hunting in a wildlife management area. He was ordered to complete a pre-trial diversion program, which he successfully completed.
