Digging the Foundation Part 1, Making a Walkout Basement on Flat Land. Mom is Back!

Prepping the ground for the foundation with the Hitachi excavator. We want our ranch house to have a walkout basement, but the land is basically flat. For proper drainage, I talk about a formula I used for sinking the basement into the ground the right amount with an area for drainage that's a certain length away from the house. My mom returns after the mother's day mishap to give me a hand with this project.
