*Crazy Moose Fight, Even With Broken Antlers*
Bull Moose Fights! As you watch this fight, don’t be fooled by the slow-motion segment at the beginning. Later on in the video you’ll see it in real time and it is an intense battle. Actually, it was brutal. Be sure to turn up the volume! See the fight breakdown below.
Welcome to Moose & Coffee. After studying the rut for 9 years we are well aware how tough it is to see bull moose fight, even from a distance. Through the years we have been extremely fortunate to see 12 fights and film 10 of them.
2024 was a good year for filming, we filmed two fights and we are sharing one of them with you today.
Bass is a scrapper, and of all the young bulls we’ve seen, he is the most aggressive we’ve filmed. He does not play by the rules. He makes his own rules.
The first 36 seconds are in slow motion.
At 1:17 seconds you start to hear bulls whining in submission. Remember, there are three bulls. Whining is “waving a white flag”. But Bass does not play by the rules and just ignores their whines.
At 2:42 seconds despite both small bulls declining to fight, Bass attacks anyway.
At 3:03 seconds, it is Bass on the left and he is losing the fight!!
At 3:13 seconds Bass is basically beaten. Notice the lack of antler clanking of the smaller moose, plus Bass’s antlers are broken and missing.
Five seconds later Bass turns the tables completely and smashes his opponent into the fallen tree, you can hear the loud moaning and groaning of the loser.
At 4:17 seconds just look at those broken antlers. Take note that this damage is not from this fight, he broke them in some earlier fights. Who knows how many times he fought.
This is a very unusual bull. He is excessively aggressive and strong for his age and size.

Thanks for watching our channel, we are the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part time Alaska.) In New Hampshire we spend a lot of our spring/summer hours in kayaks photographing loons and moose in the waters of New Hampshire. And hike many miles in Alaska seeking all manner of wildlife in the fall.
