I’m Ryo Masahero, a 27-year-old marine engineer working in Tokyo Bay. Right now, I serve as the chief engineer on a bunker ship, but over the years, I’ve worked as a deck officer on cruise ships, sailing ships, firefighting vessels, and tugboats.👨🏻‍✈️

At 20, I earned my Class 4 licenses for both marine engineering and deck operations, along with certifications as a First-Class Small Vessel Operator and First-Class Maritime Special Radio Operator. I also passed the written exam for the Class 3 deck officer license—but honestly, I still have a lot to learn.🇯🇵

On this channel, I share what it’s like working at sea, stories from life onboard, and insights into the maritime world. Even if you’ve never stepped foot on a ship, I hope these videos spark your curiosity about the ocean and the amazing people who keep it moving.
