Chinese Takeaway Chicken Ginger and Spring Onion At Home! 🍗🧅🥢

This is another dish that has massively over looked on a Chinese takeout menu. This recipe for chicken with ginger and spring onion is one that I actually use often, as its so fast and easy to make, sometimes I'll often add extra sugar because this is one of those dishes that works very well when overly sweetened, I think its the ginger that makes the sweetness so morish in this. You can add Chinese rice wine right at the end some places will add a small splash (1 tsp), most places don't do this, but you can if you like.

Ingredients:
1 sliced chicken breast
1/4 tsp salt

1/6 tsp Bicarb
1/3 tsp garlic powder https://www.ziangs.com/product-page/garlic-powder-100g
2 tsp light soy https://www.ziangs.com/product-page/lee-kum-kee-lkk-premium-light-soy-sauce-500ml
1 tsp potato starch https://www.ziangs.com/product-page/potato-starch-500g
1 tsp veg oil
(Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well, leave in fridge for 20 minutes)

Finishing
7 chopped into battens and halved spring onions
1/2 finely chopped onion
35g sliced ginger
1/3 tsp salt
