Camila Morrone Interview: Gonzo Girl, Willem Dafoe, and Hunter S. Thompson

After starring in Amazon Prime’s Daisy Jones & the Six, Camila Morrone takes on the role of Alley Russo in Gonzo Girl. The film is an adaptation of the 2015 novel of the same title by Cheryl Della Pietra. It follows the life of Hunter S. Thompson (portrayed by Willem Dafoe as Walker Reade) and his newly hired assistant (played by Morrone).

Morrone talks about working with Willem Dafoe in emotional and psychedelic scenes, Patricia Arquette’s directorial debut, having the freedom to explore her character and how her Italian heritage helped her with the script.
