Twin Elements is proud to present the official film release of “Bowhunting Banteng & Boars” Part 2.
A cinematic bowhunting film set amongst the rugged, remote floodplains of Australia’s, Northern Territory.

Join us for a sneak peak, into an unforgettable week long archery adventure.
Hunting introduced Banteng bulls in the one of the last wilderness frontiers remaining on the planet.
The banteng (Bos javanicus), are a species of wild cattle or bovine, native to Southeast Asia.
They were first introduced to Australia in the early 19th century.
The animals that were released in 1849 as a domestic livestock experiment are now well adapted to the landscape and can be found in the wild areas around the Cobourg Peninsula region of the Northern Territory.
Australia’s banteng population is considered one of the largest in the world and is genetically pure. This has significant status as many populations of banteng herds in their native range have interbred with domestic cattle.
Knowing this, banteng in Australia are considered a valuable genetic reservoir due to their purity.
They thrive in the tropical savanna and wetlands of Northern Australia and as a result their population is constantly expanding. They are introduced and sometimes seen as a pest due to their impact on native vegetation, yet are also managed as a resource for sustainable hunting and tourism.
Their certainly is a moral conundrum associated with banteng in Australia.
To cull and remove a pest that no doubt is having an ecological impact on Australian native species?
To preserve a strong hold and genetic reservoir of an otherwise endangered species?
Or, perhaps adopt a middle ground and manage Australian banteng as a hunt able resource.
Thats certainly where we look to find resolution.
This hunt takes place during the month of September, which means that its the build up period, which occurs just prior to the wet season where much of Northern Australia receives a downpour of monsoonal rains. This ensues that the hunt takes place during plenty of hot and humid weather. Battling days where the mercury exceeds 40 degrees celsius, its as much mental as it is physical.
Having never hunted this rare species, Ayden and James enjoy a steep learning curve. The pursuit of these huge and potentially dangerous creatures, leads us to countless encounters with bulls.
Tune in to witness how the hunt unfolds. Theres multiple close stalks on banteng, plus some bonus wild boar footage in what could very well be the best feral pig hunting ever captured! Some of the scenes need to be seen to be believed.
Hard work is rewarded when we find a remote and isolated patch of water which is being visited by feral pigs, buffalo and other native species.
Being mindful of saltwater crocodiles we hunt the edges and are rewarded with many opportunities on some truly giant hogs with massive tusks.
Sit back, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Australian bush, and experience the thrill associated with hunting untamed landscapes just as nature intended!
