A mute prophet, a past mistake, and China’s founding father reborn

This is a story about China’s past, present, and future. A poor, mute, and deaf man born in the 1950s claimed he was the reincarnation of China’s founding father. From a young age, this crippled man displayed a supernormal ability: he knew the past and could foresee the future. He spoke of divine punishment for a grave mistake he had made in his previous life as the founder of the Republic of China—the fatal alliance with Russian communists that brought communism into China.
