We travelled to a small town in Siberia, Russia to explore what life here is like in early 2025.
This is the town of Prokopyevsk in the Kemerovo (Kuzbass) region. This town was once a coal mining centre of Siberia. But now, this is one of the fastest dying cities in Russia, with its population almost falling by half in the last 35 years. We wanted to travel to Prokopyevsk to explore and discover what life is like for the people living here, in this dying Russian town, today. Join us as we explore a region of Russia rarely ever shown.
